Axe Forging Workshop

  • Northern Rockies Museum of Culture & Heritage 225 Gregg Avenue Hinton, AB, T7V 2B7 Canada (map)

Join us this September for the ultimate creative opportunity: start with metal, wood, and leather and create every part of an axe, custom made by you. Expert instructor Will Steed of the Forge Co. will guide you through every step of the process. You’ll forge the axe head, carve the handle, and finish with a leather sheath to preserve your axe’s edge. This workshop is a friendly, welcoming environment to experiment with new skills. The final bonus: thanks to Will Steed’s generosity, some of the proceeds of this workshop support the museum!

Space is limited, register here!
