Volunteer with Us!
The Northern Rockies Museum would not be here today without the work of many dedicated volunteers who have devoted their time and energy to the museum. However, there is always still work to do!

Volunteers are an essential part of the museum. Through their work, we have been able to:
Showcase pressed local plants and flowers in an exhibition
Photograph 100s of artifacts
Plan the development for our annual Murder Mystery event
Landscape the gardens
Curate our gift shop
These are only a few examples of what volunteers have worked on. As a grassroots organization, we are able to continue to thrive due to volunteer contribution.

While we do have these set opportunities, we love to work with people’s unique skills. If there is something you would like to contribute to the museum, we welcome the opportunity to work with you and your talents!

If you are not able to physically come to the museum, we still have opportunities for you to contribute from home, wherever that may be! We have plenty of opportunities like research, writing, social media, and more! We’re flexible at the Northern Rockies Museum, so if virtual volunteering is the better choice for you, we’ll be sure to set you up with some fun opportunities.

We’re excited to be offering sponsorship opportunities! If you are interested in supporting our work with financial or in-kind sponsorship we would love discover ways in which we can work together!
We are partnering with Donate a Car Canada to accept your car donation! You will be provided free towing, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to the Hinton Historical Society through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or re-sold (depending on its condition, age and location).
Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for us to benefit. You will receive a tax receipt after your car donation has been processed!
